Ensuring a smooth journey
Take the assigned elevator to make sure everyone fits in.
The elevator control system calculates the available space in elevator cars based on how many destination calls have been made. For getting around smoothly, always make your own elevator call and take your assigned elevator. If you take someone else's elevator, they must make another call and wait, which hinders the people flow in the building.
For example: You jump into an elevator without making a call on the destination panel because you see that there is space in the elevator car and the elevator is going to your destination floor. However, if someone else had already made a call from another floor, they may not have room anymore in the elevator car when it arrives.
